Careers at Lium
Lium is a GPU cloud built on Bittensor Subnet 51. Instead of one company's data centers, compute comes from a network of independent providers, and anyone can rent an H100, B200 or RTX 4090 pod in seconds, billed by the minute with no hourly minimum. Developers use the web app, the lium CLI, or an agent skill that lets AI agents provision GPUs on their own.
We are a small, fully remote team spread across time zones. We work async, ship several times a day, and every engineer owns their work end to end, from the database migration to the button a customer clicks.
Why Lium
- Fully remote with flexible hours. We work async and overlap for a few hours a day.
- High ownership on a small team: you talk to customers and providers directly in Discord and ship what they need.
- Competitive cash plus meaningful equity.
- Real infrastructure problems: hundreds of GPUs, live pricing, and provisioning across a decentralized network.
- A fast-paced startup where a good idea reaches production the same week.

Build the product surface of Lium: the web app, CLI and API that let anyone rent GPUs by the minute from a decentralized network of providers.
What you will do
- Ship features across the stack: pod lifecycle, templates, volumes and backups, billing, and the provider portal.
- Own the frontend in Next.js, React, TypeScript and Mantine, from the browse page that lists hundreds of GPUs with live pricing to the checkout flow.
- Extend the Python backend on PostgreSQL that schedules pods, tracks provider reliability and settles payments.
- Improve provisioning reliability and speed across providers running very different hardware.
- Write tests, review pull requests, and keep the CLI and docs in step with the product.
- Talk to users in Discord and GitHub and turn what you learn into the next release.
What we are looking for
- Four or more years building production software, with strong TypeScript and React and comfortable Python.
- Solid PostgreSQL and SQL, plus day-to-day experience with Docker and Linux.
- You debug across the stack, from a React render to a slow query to a failing container.
- You write clearly, work well async, and ship fast without leaving a mess behind.
Nice to have
- Kubernetes on AWS, Helm or Pulumi.
- GPU or ML infrastructure: CUDA, drivers, container images for training or inference.
- Bittensor or other crypto networks.
- Redis, Celery or similar background job systems.
- Open-source contributions we can read.
Compensation
USD 140,000 – 200,000 per year plus equity, depending on experience and location.
